Two powerful scriptures.  What can be accomplished if we do it with God?  All things!  Let’s look at the word with.  It’s the key in both verses.   According to the Cambridge dictionary, with is a preposition meaning…

In the same place as someone or something

Perhaps the struggle has been because we try to do things in our own strength, by our own selves. Another issue could be that we’re trying to do things that we shouldn’t be doing.  What I mean is doing things that are not in accordance with God’s word.  God is not going to co-sign, authorize us in doing things outside of His will.  So we have to examine ourselves and say, “Is what I’m doing, God in it?”  “Will God be in the same place with me on this endeavor, action, behavior?”

In the context of the God possible scripture focus today, there were two circumstances.  In Matthew, a rich young man said he wanted eternal life but was unwilling to give up his possessions.  Jesus informed those around him that with men this was impossible but with God all things are possible.  There are situations in our lives that without God it will not be done.  The young man walked away because He couldn’t see himself giving up all those things.  He didn’t understand who stood in his midst.  The One who made all things possible, doable.

In Luke 1:37, the story is different.  Here we find the angel Gabriel sharing with a young woman  named Mary, about the possibilities of God. In answer to the news of her pending miracle, Gabriel told her about another miracle that had happened with her cousin, Elizabeth, an elderly barren woman who had conceived a child.  God performed the impossible in Elizabeth’s body and was going to do the same thing in Mary’s body.  Nothing is impossible WITH GOD.

When we tap (a verb, action word) into the With God Approach we’re living our lives from that vantage point.  One, we don’t have to do this thing alone and two, there is nothing that can’t be accomplished.  Let’s tap into the resources of heaven. The sky is the limit.  We serve an awesome, mighty God that lives on the inside of us and is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think!  Glory to His Name!!

My prayer today for us is that God will give us new revelation and insight into doing things with Him.  To open up our mind, our psyche to the understanding of the truth that we can do all things with Him, that all things are possible WITH God.  Lord, let the entrance of your word give light to our path and our understanding on today.  Those things that have been a struggle in days and times past, let the revelation of your word shatter it and cause us to walk in new and renewed purpose.  God if you’re not in it, we don’t want it.  Let your promises prevail in our lives and our hearts.
